'Far From the Apple Tree' UK/US DVD and Cinema Release via Redemption Films ...and Vinyl Sou
Excitement doesn't really adequately cover our feelings regarding the release of our film - Tartan 14 - Far From the Apple Tree.

Salvation Films is delighted to announce that we will be releasing the stylish and highly original new feature Far From the Apple Tree later this year.
Directed by Grant McPhee and starring Sorcha Groundsell who recently wowed viewers of Netflix’s The Innocents and Victoria Liddelle (The Outlaw King), Far from the Apple Tree is an eclectic mix of ghost story, fairy tale and horror.
Evocative of the TV series The Owl Service and films like Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and The Wicker Man and with a truly magical soundtrack by Rose McDowall (Strawberry Switchblade) and Shawn Pinchbeck make Far from the Apple Tree a must-see for fans of Redemption and ethereal thrills.

Redemption are the original bad boys of UK film distribution and almost single handedly changed how the BBFC operate via their infamous court cases. They also amongst singlehandedly revived the critical opinion of the much maligned 'Euro Horror' from trash to art, winning many supporters along the way, including Derek Jarman.
We're delighted that our film will be on their shelves in HMV alongside some of our favourite films and directors including Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Witchfinder General, Dario Argento, Jean Rollin, Jess Franco, Mario Bava and George Romero.
The film will also receive a short US cinema release as well as a magnificent vinyl soundtrack from composers Shawn Pinchbeck and Rose McDowall (Strawberry Switchblade, Psychic TV, Death in June, Current 93)
