Far From the Apple Tree - Tartan 14 - To Screen at Manchester Film Festival

We're delighted that our film 'Far From the Apple Tree' will be screening at the very cool Manchester Film Festival in March.

It will screen in Glasgow shortly after at our 'Tartan Features : Beyond Year Zero Festival' followed then by a short cinema release.

And in late summer we're even more delighted that it will be released on DVD, Streaming and TV by one of the UK's most influential distributers, censor agitators and bad boys of cult-cinema, Redemption where it will sit alongside some of our favourite cult films and directors 'George Romero's Martin, Dario Argento's Deep Red, Witchfinder General, Vampiros Lesbos, Nosferatu, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Mario Bava, Jess Franco and Jean Rollin.

From their announcement: "Salvation is delighted to announce that we will be releasing the stylish and highly original new feature 'Far from the Apple Tree' later this year.Directed by Grant McPhee and starring Sorcha Groundsell who recently wowed viewers of Netflix's The Innocents and Victoria Liddelle (The Outlaw King), Apple Tree is an eclectic mix of ghost story, fairy tale and horror.Evocative of the TV series The Owl Service and films like Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and The Wicker Man and with a truly magical soundtrack by Rose McDowall (Strawberry Switchblade) Apple Tree is a must-see for fans of Redemption and ethereal thrills..."

We're very, very happy...and tomorrow we will have a new festival announcement about another film that we're even happier about.
